Hello, everyone!
It’s hard to believe we’re a week into November already! It’s been a great start to a month of crazy writing!
I’m very happy that October-Acire was able to get the planning done. It’s made a huge difference! I don’t have to worry if what I’m writing will tie in or wonder where the story is going. I’ve already planned it out! I’ve also found that I’ve stopped writing scenes just for the sake of writing (those scenes that don’t really help the story move along).
I’m really enjoying my story this year. This has been a novel I’ve been working on and off on for the better part of four years. I feel like this might be the year where I finally have a solid first draft that I love! Yay! Though, that’s only after a week in, so it’ll be interesting to see what I think about it next week.
Here’s a peek at my word count tracker. I was inspired by the website’s official tracker and wanted one I could fill in myself.
I’ve been doing a good job at reaching or going above the word count goal for each day. That is, until yesterday. I just wasn’t feeling it; some days are like that. I know that I have some room to fall a bit behind as I haven’t been behind yet, so I’m not too worried. I’ll catch up soon!
Until next time,
-Acire
Wow. Nice tracker!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Making a day-to-day average with a day-job and two teenage girls is impossible, so I’m reduced to weekend surges. About 9000 words, to-date. A good friend just schooled me on writing horror (from the victim’s perspective! I’d not known!) But, speaking of horror, and reflexive of last year, Eldest Dog has surgery for the tumor in his nose, tomorrow.. Psychic vampires might be scary, but a $9000 medical bill is terrifying.
If there’s bad medical news next NNWM, I’ll never do this again.
