Stretching out long spindly fingers
Brushing against the neck
Voice oozing softly into the ear
Be afraid
It says
Be afraid.
Light tickle on the mind
Goosebumps run down the spine
Twisting of the stomach
Be afraid
It says
Be afraid.
Ground unsteady beneath the feet
Sweat pooling under the arms
Rapid breathing plagues the lungs
Be afraid
It says
Be afraid.
Conviction grabs hold of the mind
Shadows dancing to confuse the eyes
Panic commanding the body
Be afraid
It says
Be afraid.
It has control now
Altered reality makes it clear
The illusions were here first
Followed by the illusionist
Be afraid
It says
Be afraid.
excellent!
Thank you!
“Light tickle on the mind
Goosebumps run down the spine
Twisting of the stomach”
Such a true and a lively expression of fear.
Thank you!
You’re welcome Acire 🙂
Seriously. This poem, I think, as exceptional.
And I agree with Amir, that part does perfectly describe fear.
Wow.
Thank you!
