This is a poem I wrote; which I later put to music.ย
I would sail the world for you
even though boats make me blue
I’d climb up the rigging for you
and watch as the waves grew
I’d climb the tallest peak for you
to look upon the land anew
I’d rope up the slopes for you
to see your point of view
I’d eat a poison apple for you
even though it’s hard to chew
I’d sit in the black for you
and wait for the kiss that’s true
I’d be the early bird for you
and see the spheres of sunlit dew
I’d find a lot of worms for you
as overhead the birds flew
I’d listen through the night to you
and on toย the morning hue
I’d mend broken things for you
and try my best to make them new
I’d count all the stars for you
even as they said adieu
I’d wish upon one just for you
and maybe try to catch one too
I would for you
(shout out to my dad who helped make this recording!)
That’s a great song. It doesn’t need more than your voice and your ukulele (shoot me if I got the instrument wrong). Together with the lyrics it conveys such a happy mood. Keep writing poems/songs and putting them to music. You’re really talented ๐
Thank you so much! and yes, it is a ukulele good guess ๐
You’re welcome and I’ll stay alive ๐
Beautiful.
Thank you ๐
My homesick ears are so happy to have heard your voice. I am impressed with the words that you found to rhyme with the message you were giving. Sweet!
Thank you so much!
I was going through your blog and I found this gem! I was thinking Coffee by Sylvan Esso would be a PERFECT song for you to cover if you ever plan on doing more music.
Wow! Thank you so much ๐
